The weekend just been was my last wedding for the season, and was the most amazing wedding too. Hugh and Jai-Lee got married at the Black Barn river room along the tuki tuki river in front of their close friends and family, and what a view to have for your back drop. These two are such a fun laid back couple and had such a good time with everyone, such a cool family too. Hugh’s last name is Rainbow, and we amazingly got surprised with a double rainbow at the end of their day which was phenomenal. Thank you guys so much for choosing me to capture your day and I wish you guys a long life of happiness, fun and adventure xx
After months and months of chatting to one another over the internet, Harriet and Nico travelled all the way over from France to get married here in front of their family and friends at Godsown brewery in Maraekakaho. Nico is a huge fan of craft beer so what better place to get married than somewhere like Godsown. They said their vows under the massive amounts of hanging hops surrounding them, it was so beautiful. We went for a wee trip to the redwoods before the ceremony and got photos and a first look which I always think is a really cool alternative way to making your wedding yours as a couple and soaking it all in alone. The smile on Nico’s face when he saw his gal was priceless, smiles for days. What an awesome day all round surrounded by good food, good beer and even better company. Thank you guys for choosing me to be apart of your day and wish you a lifetime of happiness.
Hawkes Bay wedding. Amongst the ocean views and the crazy wind, Trent and Harriet tied the knot in front of their close family and friends at Kairakau beach, north of Havelock North here in Hawkes Bay. This little hidden gem is a special place to Harriet and her family, including her late father, which somehow made it all tie in together as though he was there with them. Seriously stunning bride, trent you’re a lucky man.
Nathan and Sarah are so easy and fun to get along with. I first met these guys last year for an engagement shoot when they booked me for their wedding. We took their photos on Sarahs family farm and got to know them a bit. The weather reports said we were getting a clear afternoon with no rain, but reality said otherwise. Most bride and grooms wouldn’t deal to that well having an outdoor wedding and these guys had no worries and stood under their arch in the rain, which was actually quite beautiful. I spent the full day with these guys and their family and friends and had the best day. Congratulations guys xx
